ABOUT MYNFEL
I am a writer, actress and singer - amongst other things.

I have taken the pseudonym of Mynfel from the Cornish word for "yarrow" (with thanks to the initial inspiration and following blessing of Candian author, Charles de Lint) which also means "Heal All". Which I find appropriate for the journey I've begun.

Who am I? I am Australian, I am a wanderer and over the last few years I have found myself drawn more and more to the Celtic traditions, beliefs and way of life. I now divide my time between Australia, the UK and now the States, and have found myself most at home in the North of England and Scotland. As my family is originally Scots, this is not surprising! As I am also a writer, I find the tradition of Celtic storytelling, myth and legend a rich source of inspiration, which hopefully feeds those who read my work as much as it does me.

Through the encouragement of others, I have begun to weave Celtic themes through my commercial work and it has struck a cord in many an unexpected place. Which just proves the theory of an "unremembered" collective memory that runs as an undercurrent through our everyday existence.

I have created this site to share the knowledge that I have gained over the years. I am still a novice, still learning and exploring this wonderful world of the Celts. But I feel the need to keep a catalogue of what I learn so that others may also delve into the realms of Celtic memory and hopefully be enriched by its re-discovery. As I have been.
